3 Spooky And Easy Halloween Recipes

Mummies

For the dough:

500g flour

21 g fresh yeast

1 pinch (s) of sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 tbsp olive oil

300 ml water, lukewarm

preparation

Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the middle.

Put the yeast in a bowl, mix with a pinch of sugar and a little water. Pour this into the well and stir something into the flour with your finger. Add salt, olive oil and remaining water and work into a yeast dough. You may need some more water; it should be a soft, non-sticky dough that you knead briefly on a lightly floured work surface. Return the dough to the bowl, cover with a damp cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. It should have increased in volume significantly.

In the meantime, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top / bottom heat.

When the dough is ready, knead it again briefly and divide it. Put the other part back in the bowl and cover. Now roll out the dough thinly on a lightly floured work surface. I then take a pizza roller and cut it into thin strips. These are now carefully wrapped around a sausage, from top to bottom, not too tight, a little sausage may look out in places. I then go up again with a strip from the bottom up. You also have to leave a slit for the eyes at the top of the "head".

Place the mummies on the baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes. You should check that the top layer of dough should have a light brown color, otherwise it should stay light. Take out and place on a wire rack.

Do the same with the other half of the dough. For me, half of the dough results in 5 wrapped sausages, which should also be 16 cm long.

They taste very fine when they are still warm, but also when they have cooled down. In the case of the cooled mummies, you go there and use the round end of a toothpick to put two points in the top of the viewing slits as eyes. Then arrange them on a plate or platter.

Spider muffins

ingredients

200 g of flour

3 tbsp cocoa powder

3 teaspoons of baking powder

2 egg (s)

100 g of sugar

80 ml of oil

300 g buttermilk

12 sweets (soft liquorice sticks)

24 sweets (chocolate chips)

½ packet of couverture

Chocolate sprinkles

preparation

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees and grease a 12-cup muffin baking pan or line it with paper liners.

Whisk eggs with sugar, oil and the buttermilk. Carefully stir in the flour, cocoa and baking powder and stir until a smooth dough is formed. Pour the dough into the molds and bake at 160 degrees for about 20 minutes. Then let the muffins cool down well.

Melt the couverture. Halve the soft liquorice sticks to make pieces about 7 cm long. Quarter these pieces lengthways again. These are the spider legs. So you get 8 legs per soft liquorice stick.

Now glaze the muffins with the couverture and press the legs into the still moist glaze. Then press 2 chocolate lentils per muffin into the still moist glaze and then sprinkle the muffins with the chocolate sprinkles.

Monster - chocolate kisses

ingredients

1 pack of chocolate kisses, small, white, dark, and whole milk

25 g couverture, white

25 g chocolate couverture, dark

preparation

Melt the couverture separately over the water bath. Don't let it get too hot and stir every now and then. Then fill each variety in a small freezer bag, close it, cut off a very small corner of the bag and decorate the chocolate kisses with scary faces.

Put in a cool place.
