Overnight oats with apple and walnuts
ingredients
for -2 portions
75g buckwheat flakes
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Salt 250ml
milk (3.5% fat)
1 tbsp Applesauce (15 g; no added sugar)
2 tbsp Chia seeds (10 g)
1 Apple
1 tbsp maple syrup (15 g)
2 tbsp walnut kernels (30 g)
Preparation
1. Mix the buckwheat flakes with cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Add the milk, apple sauce, and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, stir well and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
2. Wash, quarter, and core the apple the following day. Cut one half into thin wedges and the other into cubes. Place the diced apples in a saucepan with the maple syrup and remaining cinnamon, heat, and allow to caramelize for 2-3 minutes.
3. Meanwhile roughly chop the walnut kernels. Place overnight oats in two bowls or sealable jars.
4. Put the apple slices, caramelized apple cubes, and walnut kernels on top and serve the overnight oats with apple and walnuts with the remaining chia seeds.
