Orange the World is a worldwide campaign to stop violence against women. It has six main pillars which are PSAs, Youth Education, Women’s Empowerment, Social Change Campaigns, Local Activists, and Global Partnerships. This campaign is aimed at reaching the target audience in all corners of the world to create awareness about gender-based violence and to take action in order to tackle it.
The mission of the campaign is to educate society on how important is to stop violence against women. This initiative will provide a platform for people who would like to make a difference in their society.
Orange The World is an initiative from the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women (UN Women) which works towards educating society about violence against women and girls, as well as stopping it. This campaign aims at eradicating all forms of violence against women and girls, including domestic, sexual, and other forms of gender-based violence.
This campaign also wants to raise awareness about the prevalence of such incidents that take place globally, with 1 in 3 women experiencing physical or sexual abuse during her lifetime - or around 130 million women per year!
The campaign's slogan is "Orange The World. Stop Violence Against Women" and it is a campaign to raise awareness about violence against women around the world. It was launched on November 25, 2018, by Orange Romania and it has encouraged people to wear orange in support of the cause and spread awareness.
