Goodbye Tina Turner - I Will Never Forget You

Yesterday, just as I was getting ready for bed, the world fell on my head. Tina Turner,  whom I've been listening to since my youth and still listening to ''What's Love Got To Do With It'' and ''You're Simply The Best'' every time I was depressed, died 😭😭😭

I know you will say, but she was very old, young people die, etc. But when the artists we love die, we feel sad. It's like they become a part of our lives. They interpret our feelings with their songs and accompany us for life. Moreover, something I am very happy about is that our children also love and listen to the artists we listened to when we were young. Having the same musical impulse as your child is also enjoyable.

However, I would like to talk about her dramatic life story, in case there are young people who do not know her, and I want it to be in my blog archive as well.

The Dramatic Life Story of Tina Turner

Turner, whose real name is Anna Mae Bullock, was born on November 26, 1939, in Tennessee, USA. During her music career, she has won titles such as "Queen" and "Female Leader of Rock'n Roll".

Tina Turner's musical career began in the 1960s and 1970s as part of the band Ike & Tina Turner Revue. During this period, Turner attracted attention with her stage energy and strong vocals. She achieved great success with hits such as "River Deep – Mountain High", "Proud Mary" and "Nutbush City Limits".

However, Tina Turner's personal life has included a turbulent period behind her success in her music career. Her marriage to Ike Turner is known as a violent and difficult relationship. Despite these difficulties, Turner displayed a strong character and divorced Ike Turner in 1976.

Focusing on her solo career after the divorce, Tina Turner made a big break in the 1980s. She topped the music charts with hits such as "What's Love Got to Do with It", "Private Dancer" and "Simply the Best". She has also received great acclaim for her energy in music videos and impressive stage performances.

Tina Turner has been involved in the world of cinema as well as her music career. She appeared in the 1975 film "Tommy", the 1985 film "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" and the 1993 film "Last Action Hero".

In the 1990s, Tina Turner decided to quit music but returned in the early 2000s. She continued her stage performances with her "Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour" in 2008. She also announced that she was officially ending her music career in 2013.

Tina Turner has become an iconic figure in the music world, especially with her strong vocals, energetic stage performances, and brave stance. She has won many awards and made great contributions to the music industry throughout her career. Her life and achievements continue to be an inspiration to music lovers and fans.

What I can add to this information is the violence she suffered in her marriage to Ike Turner. Because Ike was constantly asking her to dye her hair blonde, her hair burned and she had to wear a wig for the rest of her life. She also continued to be a lifelong mother to Ike's children. The death of her son at an adult age changed her outlook and beliefs and became a Buddhist.

When I introduced Tina Turner, whose songs I love, and her strong personality, my admiration for her increased even more.

Angela Basset's movie "What's Love Got To Do With It", in which she made  itgreat acting, also features these sad sections of her life. I recommend you to watch.

I don't know about you, but for me, she was one of the most colorful and talented singers in the music world. As she sings in her song, she was "Simply The Best".

👉 if you click on the pictures, you can listen to a different song in each of them 😉
