The fall season is here! Whether you're hosting a party at home or going to someone else's house, or just decorating your home there are lots of fun things you can do to add seasonal touches to your decorations. Here are five simple DIY projects that won't break the bank.
Create a Fall Table Runner
You'll need: • Fabric • Scissors • Ribbon
Hang Garland From The Ceiling
This project is simple enough for kids to do, but adults can also make one with some extra effort. Start by cutting strips of fabric into 2" wide pieces. Then cut each strip into two 1/2" wide strips. Next, fold each piece of ribbon in half lengthwise. Wrap the ribbon around the center of the fabric strip, overlapping the ends as needed. Tie the ribbon at the top of the fabric strip to secure it. Repeat this process until you've covered the entire fabric strip. Cut off any excess ribbon. Finally, hang the garland from the ceiling using hooks or nails.
Of course, you can try several different garlands.
Add Some Color To Your Walls
You can use these ideas to add color to your walls without breaking the bank. Paint your walls a bright shade of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, white, gray, black, brown, or silver. If you're feeling adventurous, try painting stripes or polka dots on your walls. Or, paint a border around your room's windows or doors.
Paint A Picture Frame
Paint a picture frame with a stenciled design. Stencil designs onto wood frames using spray paint. Then, fill in the spaces between the lines with acrylic paint. Let dry completely before hanging.
Give Your Home An Outdoor Look
You can also use an outdoor theme as inspiration for indoor decorations. Hang wreaths indoors, add greenery to tables, and set up a holiday centerpiece.
