Wake Up Early With Ease - How To Wake Up Early And Be Productive

Waking up early is easier said than done. Many people struggle to fall asleep at night and then wake up in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. But there are things you can do to improve your chances of getting a good night’s rest.

Create a Morning Routine

Try establishing a morning routine so you can start your day off right. This includes getting dressed, eating breakfast, and doing some light stretching. These activities will help you feel more energized throughout the day and will get you up in no time!

Start with Exercise

If you're looking to wake up early, then you need to make sure that the first thing you do in the morning is to do some exercise. It's not just good for your body, but it's also good for your brain and it clears up your mind. A study published in the journal "Sleep", found that people who exercise before going to bed tend to fall asleep faster than those who don't exercise.

Eat Breakfast

You should eat breakfast every day. This will help you feel more energized throughout the day. It's important that you only eat healthy products in the morning, so eating a burger, for example, won't really produce a lot of energy in your body. Try eating eggs, and bread and drinking coffee or milk. Vegetables are also a very good start to the day. Also, breakfast is hardening the morning routine that you are trying to establish.

Listen to music before bed

Music is often something seen as relaxing by many people including me. It has become a part of our everyday lives and it's one of the most popular art mediums out there. I mean, you hear it almost everywhere: In your car, in a store, on your phone, on TV...So listening to music before going to bed is not that bad of an idea. It helps you relax and it gives you a feeling of happiness and safety. The best way to do this is by getting some earphones and listening to music that way. Try it out for yourself, and see how well it helps you fall asleep!

Keep your room dark

Now, this is a crucial detail that you should keep in your head to ensure a good sleep. Always try to keep your room dark so no candles, lamps, TVs, or other lights that may light up the room. When your room is in complete darkness, your brain can relax more easily and you will fall asleep much faster. For many people, a quiet, dark room is the most relaxing thing so you should definitely try this method out. Another thing you should do is to close the blinds on your windows so that the morning sunlight doesn't wake you up. This also ensures a long enough sleep.

Other tips on how to wake up earlier

So all of the points above are pretty good to start out with, but I'll go ahead and tell you other things that you should do to get up early every day. A good thing would be to avoid caffeine late at night. This will only force your body to wake up and it will become really hard to fall asleep with a lot of it in your body. Also, you could try to establish a list with various goals written down on it. That way, you know exactly what you will be doing the next day you wake up and as soon as you are ready, you can start finishing up these goals.

Another thing would be to set an alarm. You don't have to do this for a long period of time, only in the first weeks of trying to harden your sleep cycle and morning routine. Once your sleep cycle is hardened, your mind will automatically wake up at the exact time that your alarm always went off. But of course, you shouldn't always take this for granted as you could still oversleep. Especially if you have an important appointment the next day, it would be smart to set an alarm in case you oversleep.

There are plenty more methods on how to fall asleep and wake up faster, but I just found that these were the most important ones. So give them a try, it will definitely help you!
