Recently, many Blogger users experienced a worrying situation. I was one of them.
I received an email from Blogger informing me that my blog had been removed because it allegedly violated the "Malware and Similar Malicious Content" policy. As a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle blogger, I was completely surprised because I have never intentionally published harmful content.
I Wasn't the Only One
After doing some research, I discovered that many other Blogger users around the world had received similar emails around the same time. Discussions in the Blogger Help Community and on social media suggested that numerous blogs had been temporarily removed during what appeared to be a broader issue or automated review process.
This gave me hope that my case might be a false positive rather than an actual malware problem.
What I Did
I immediately submitted an appeal using the link provided in Blogger's email and waited for the review.
Fortunately, my blog was restored after the appeal, and everything became accessible again.
If This Happens to You
If your Blogger blog is removed for an alleged malware violation, don't panic.
Here are a few steps that may help:
- Submit an appeal as soon as possible.
- Review your Google Account security.
- Check any third-party widgets, custom templates, or external scripts you use.
- Wait for Blogger's review before making major changes.
A Good Reminder to Keep Backups
Although my blog was restored, this experience reminded me how important it is to keep regular backups of both blog posts and templates.
Technology isn't perfect, and automated systems can sometimes make mistakes. Having backups ensures that your hard work is always protected.
